Moon Hare
Moon Hare
They say that the image or engraving of a hare brings with it unbounded energy and vitality. The hare is also often associated with the moon. Together they symbolise mystery, regeneration, fertility and change in cultures ancient and modern around the world.
Celtic knots symbolise eternity - eternal friendship, love and loyalty. Their origins are ancient and lost in time, but they can be found in many guises across Asia and Europe. They may have been carried to the west by travellers such as Alexander the Great or even Genghis Khan.
As Pagan as they may seem, they were used extensively by early Christians and can be found across the Celtic world on stone crosses, churches and embellishing sacred texts such as the Book of Kells and the Lindisfarne Gospels.
